Nutrition

Providing you with healthy options is something your dining team proudly does every day. We help you select delicious, nutritious, and satisfying meals, snacks, and desserts by highlighting well-balanced menu choices and providing nutritional information and tips to help you make choices that fit your needs.

Food Allergies

We take pride in sourcing wholesome ingredients, preparing recipes accurately, and providing nutritional analysis and ingredient statements through our online menus and nutrition calculator. We are all passionate about serving students. From the general manager to front-line servers, we work diligently to address students’ specific needs, especially those with food allergies, Celiac disease, or special dietary needs.

A team approach led by you, our educated consumer, is the best preparation for a safe school year free of allergic reactions. We want to meet one-on-one with all of our customers who have individual dining needs to ensure that your dining experience is safe, delicious, and social. If you have a food allergy/particular dietary concern, please call or send us a note using the feedback form.

My Zone

My Zone, located in Raymond Hall Dining is a passcode protected “pantry” where food items needed by students with Celiac disease or nut allergies are stored and prepared with precautions against cross-contact. This area provides a gluten-free version of daily meals, a cook-to-order saute and is free of tree nut, peanut, and gluten-containing ingredients and products. To gain access to the pantry, please review and follow the Dining Accommodations process.

Dining Accommodations

As a partner in wellness, it is essential for us to meet the dining needs of all students, including those with special dietary requirements.

We will work with students to provide reasonable accommodations, including alternate meals and menu choices for students who have seen a health care provider and have been formally diagnosed with a condition. Examples of conditions may include food allergies, food intolerances, physician-prescribed special diets, and celiac disease. Please see Providence College’s Disability Accommodations for details on requesting accommodations.

Mindful

Locate a healthier choice! All Mindful offerings meet stringent nutritional criteria based on the Dietary Guidelines for Americans. Each Mindful item is limited in calories, has fewer than 30% of calories from fat, fewer than 10% of calories from saturated fat, and is restricted in sodium and cholesterol.

Vegan & Vegetarian

Dining Services offers variety of clearly labeled vegetarian and vegan options at multiple dining stations. From new twists on classic favorites to dishes custom-created by our chefs, vegetarian and vegan diners will find plenty of opportunities to satisfy their appetites while also meeting their unique dietary needs.

Nut Free

Raymond Dining Hall, the resident dining hall on campus, does not utilize peanuts or tree nuts, including coconut, in recipes produced within the facility.   Individual portion cups of peanut butter are only available at the toasting station.
