Overview

A dining hall is not just a building with food in it. It’s a place where students meet friends, study for finals, and create memories lasting a lifetime. Ray Dining features 15 different dining options. Serving items like made-to-order omelets, burrito bowls, deli sandwiches, plant-based entrees, and international favorites. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, seven days a week.

CULINARY CONCEPTS AT RAY DINING

FRIAR’S PAN
At Friar’s Pan, start your day by building your own breakfast sandwich, choosing from a variety of fresh ingredients to create a morning meal just the way you like it. Later in the day, we’re turning up the heat with made-to-order stir-fry creations that are as fresh as they are flavorful. Watch as your choice of proteins, colorful vegetables, and savory sauces sizzle together in the pan, ready to be served over rice or noodles. With every dish crafted right in front of you, it’s the perfect way to stir up some excitement!

PERFORMANCE PLATE
NEW this Fall! Performance Plate is all about supporting optimal wellness and nutrition, helping every Friar stay at the top of their game. With curated menus, this station makes it easy to build a well-balanced meal, offering a daily rotation of two proteins and a selection of grains and carbs. Complement your meal with a delicious variety of vegetables, such as roasted beets and ratatouille.

Performance Plate is designed to keep you fueled, recharged, and ready to perform at your best!

SIZZLE
Sizzle is your go-to spot for mouthwatering grill favorites like juicy cheeseburgers, crispy chicken wings, and perfectly toasted grilled cheese. With a rotating daily special, there’s always something new and flavorful to enjoy. Whether you’re in the mood for a classic or something with a twist, Sizzle is perfect for a quick and satisfying grab-and-go meal.

SAVORY 
Classic, homestyle breakfast, lunch, and dinner favorites that students know and love. From blueberry pancakes and country-style scrambled eggs to mac & cheese and carved meats, this station delivers comforting, satisfying options for all diners. Don’t miss the crowd-favorite chicken nugget Thursday!

SLICES & TWISTS
At Slices, enjoy locally-made, perfectly rolled crust and customize your pizza with “The Big Slice” option, featuring unique toppings like gorgonzola crumbles or balsamic glaze!

Over at Twists, indulge in a variety of pastas paired with robust, flavorful sauces that provide a hearty and satisfying meal.

SERRANO
Serrano brings the vibrant flavors of Tex-Mex cuisine to your plate, with a focus on freshness and customization. Enjoy housemade guacamole prepared right before your eyes, paired with freshly made tortilla chips. Build your perfect meal with a selection of savory meats, a variety of rices, fresh vegetables, and a range of delicious toppings.

GROWN
Grown is dedicated to keeping you fueled with delicious plant-based options. Enjoy a variety of fresh offerings, from the flavorful North African tagine bowl to savory curried tofu and eggplant. This station provides a satisfying and vibrant dining experience for those following a plant-based diet.

SIMPLE SERVINGS
Simple Servings provides fresh, allergen-free meals, excluding the top ten allergens: milk, eggs, fish, shellfish, peanuts, treenuts, wheat, soybean, gluten and sesame. The station features a made-to-order option and an entrée option. It ensures a satisfying and secure dining experience for students with specific dietary needs.

SIMPLE ZONE
Simple Zone is a passcode-protected “pantry” where food items needed by students with Celiac disease or nut allergies are stored and prepared with precautions against cross-contact. This area provides gluten-free snacks, condiments, and supplemental meal items.

SHOWCASE
Chefs on stage! Showcase is designed to cater to diverse tastes, offering a split experience for each meal. In the morning, customize your perfect omelet, paired with a daily breakfast protein and potato. For lunch and dinner, the station transforms into a pasta haven, offering freshly sautéed pasta dishes made with your choice of ingredients for a personalized and delicious meal.

MIX
At Mix, students enjoy creating the perfect salad with a focus on nutritional, locally sourced, and sustainable ingredients. The station features a variety of options, including composed salads like garden pasta salad and roasted vegetable salad. Additional selections include a variety of protein options, fresh-cut fruit, and yogurts, offering a nutritious and customizable meal experience.

STACKED & SPOONFUL
Stacked offers a customizable deli experience with a wide selection of breads, meats, cheeses, toppings, and condiments, ensuring every sandwich is made to your liking. Fresh baguettes from our own bakery add a delicious touch to your creation. Spoonful features a daily rotation of two soups made fresh in-house.

UCOOK
UCOOK allows students to release their inner chef and prepare their own culinary creations. Stocked daily with fresh vegetables, proteins, grains, spices, sauces, and cooking equipment, students can customize any dish to their liking. In addition, each week there will be a featured dish with those ingredients available for any Friar to make!

BLISS
Bliss is your go-to dessert haven, offering everything from chocolate croissants for a morning pick-me-up to indulgent cakes that perfectly cap off your dinner. You can also enjoy creamy soft serve ice cream and refreshing frozen yogurt. With treats crafted by our in-house bakers, Bliss is sure to bring a smile to your face every time.

SIPS
Sips has all your beverage needs covered, from refreshing fruit-flavored waters like basil and strawberry to a full selection of Starbucks iced teas, refreshers, espresso, and drip coffees. Whether you’re looking to stay hydrated or need a caffeine boost, Sips has something for everyone. It’s the perfect spot to grab a drink to complement your meal or to enjoy on its own.
