Ray Dining

Overview

A dining hall is not just a building with food in it. It’s a place where students meet friends, study for finals, and create memories lasting a lifetime. Ray Dining features ten different dining options. Serving items like made-to-order omelets, tossed wings, deli sandwiches, plant-based entrees, and global favorites. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, seven days a week.

BAR SCENE

At Bar Scene, students enjoy healthy, locally sourced (in season), sustainable ingredients. Selections include composed salads, cold grains and pasta, grilled chicken, fresh-cut fruit, yogurts, and smoothies.

RAY’S DELI

Custom-made subs, sandwiches, and paninis featuring freshly sliced deli meats, crunchy vegetables, and toppings ranging from classic to adventurous, making Ray’s Deli the ideal destination for students looking for familiar comfort or something new and fun.

You can also find comforting meals in a bowl at Ray’s Deli. Enjoy classic home style soups, global flavors like curries, and satisfying hearty stews to warm your soul all year long.

CHEF’S TABLE

Shake it up with a variety of unique offerings that changes pace every week! This culinary program introduces a different concept each week, from customizable burritos, mac and cheese bowls to traditional Vietnamese pho. Chef’s Table is designed to keep up with the trending tastes of today.

With a collection of more than 200 plant-based entrees created by our chefs, endorsed by the Humane Society of the United States, and taste-approved by college students across the globe, flexitarians, vegetarians, vegans, and everyone else can make a healthy and humane choice at Rustic Roots.

RAY’S HOMESTYLE DINER

With a smashing variety of hand-formed burgers, grilled sandwiches, sausages, French fries, and a bevy of toppings to choose from, Ray’s Homestyle Diner boasts a packed menu with delicious add-ons.

COMFORT 

Familiar scratch-made breakfast, lunch, and dinner foods that students know and love. From French toast and breakfast sandwiches to mac and cheese, chickpea vegetable curries, and carved meats, this station offers comforting, satisfying options for all diners, including the extremely popular chicken nugget Thursday.

FRIAR STYLE PIZZA & PASTA

Artisan doughs, an assortment of pasta, combined with simple sauces, melty cheese, and a variety of toppings make for a complete meal that comforts as well as surprises. Buon appetito!

RAY’S WINGS

Our chicken wing meal is nothing short of a taste adventure at Ray’s Wings. Our students can create their own bone-in or boneless flavor combinations, tossed in award-winning sauces and dressings from traditional buffalo and BBQ varieties to exotic Asian, Australian, and French-inspired.

SIMPLE SERVINGS

A dedicated station offering fresh, delicious meals prepared without the most common allergens (milk, eggs, wheat, soy, shellfish, peanuts, and tree nuts). Simple Servings also omits gluten, which students may need to avoid due to celiac disease or gluten intolerance. An additional feature of this station is a cook-to-order sauté free of tree nuts, peanut, and gluten-containing ingredients and products. 

SIMPLE ZONE

Simple Zone is a passcode-protected “pantry” where food items needed by students with Celiac disease or nut allergies are stored and prepared with precautions against cross-contact. This area provides gluten-free snacks, condiments, and supplemental meal items. 

GLOBAL KITCHEN

Chefs on stage! From made-to-order omelets to global-inspired ingredients, hand-selected and cooked to order, guests receive a truly customized experience. These food-forward dishes feature trending tastes like Korean BBQ pork tacos and Poke Bowls. No matter the palate, there is always something comforting and satisfying.

UCOOK

UCOOK allows students to release their inner chef and prepare their own culinary creations. Stocked daily with fresh vegetables, proteins, grains, spices, sauces, and cooking equipment, students can customize any dish to their liking. 

SIPS & BLISS

Students can start their day out strong and keep their energy up with aromatic, freshly roasted Starbucks coffees, all fair-trade certified and ranging from mild through bold. The bakery offers everyday indulgences such as pastries, cookies, cakes, and pies. You can always find something new and decadent to sample.
