Antioxidants. Why are they important?
Antioxidants are molecules that help fight free radicals in the body. High levels of free radicals are associated with chronic illness. Everyday activities can cause an increase in free radicals, which is why the intake of antioxidants on a daily basis is so important!
Where Can I Find Them
Our bodies make some antioxidants on their own but certain ones need to be found in food. The majority of antioxidants can be found in some of our favorite fruits and vegetables. Some common antioxidants include Vitamin A, Vitamin C and Vitamin A.

- Berries
- Beans
- Grapes
- Spinach
- Beets
- Kale
- Carrots
- Sweet potatoes
- Cabbage
- Dark chocolate
- Artichokes
- Nuts and Seeds
